Originally developed in 1977 as a neighbourhood centre, Valley Central (formerly known as Happy Valley Shopping Centre), was reborn in 1987 with Happy Valley Foodland under the Rugless family.

Owned by the Salandra Group since 2002, the rebranding of the shopping centre to Valley Central is about creating a sense of community space and neighbourhood pride.

With a beautiful place to shop, play, get healthy, and feel your best, Valley Central is all about providing locals with a centre they know and love. Offering a new medical and dental centre, with current retailer refurbishments, this is the one-stop location for everything you need.

With a locals-first approach and undergoing its biggest renovation yet, Valley Central offers a central hub for both our long-standing retailers and our strong community connections to come together. As the nearby nature walks and popular picnic spots at the Happy Valley Reservoir are just down the road, our connection to the community remains strong.

Stage 1 is nearing completion with new tenancy areas built and ready for existing and new tenants to takeover and complete their shop fit outs! In November we will have parts of the new mall open to share with our community and customers. Beautifully designed features within the walls, ceilings and floors create a fresh new space. Our new toilet amenities will also be operational. In ground structural and services works are nearing completion which will tidy up the centre along the front.

Stage 2 is commencing shortly with new construction hoarding being erected in the main Foodland mall area. Construction works continue for our impressive front façade and works will also commence on the new southern entry.

A few retailers have temporarily reshuffled while their renovations take place:

• The Gooby Goose: Find the Gooby Goose in the carpark next to BWS while their new cafe is being built.
• The Beauty Spot: The Beauty Spot is still trading with access to the salon via the external door through the rear mall entry.
• Happy Valley Newsagency: Find the Newsagency in their pop-up store in the mall
• Magain Real Estate: Find Magain at Woodcroft Market Plaza, 217 Pimpala Road, Woodcroft.
